KWIKBEAD – Product Promotion

The Brief

Kwikbead Product Promotion:

Kwikbead a building supply company, have produced the only all in one tape and bead system for plasterers. When they approached us to makeĀ  their video the directors of the company wanted to demonstrate the unique aspect and the selling points of the product. One of the benifits they were especially keen to highlight to their target market was the time saving acheived. Their target customers consist of commercial plastering companies and building supply merchants.

 

 

The Process

After working with the team at Kwikbead we quickly understood their product. They explained all the key messages they wanted to get across to their target market, including how and why the product would benefit the end user. We realised that it was important to see the product in action, via video but also to show some of the key features, with a 3d model. We produced a script and then worked on a mood and storyboard.

They suggested we could film at a house in North Yorkshire that was being fully renovated, it was a one day shoot with a Director and camera operator. Due to the onsite location risk assessments were essential.
Feature Media’s editors and 3d animators worked together to produced a 1st draft. After feedback, via our feedback form, the amends were quickly made. A timelapse, split screen sequence was particularly tricky to get right. Balancing action on two sides of the screen with what the viewer was able to take in.

 

The Results

Kwikbead are using the video on their website and in sales meetings to demonstrate proof of concept. They’re also using it across other marketing channels, such as Facebook and Twitter where there are other online trade communities. They’re also using it in builders merchants and trade retailers, as part of their point of sale (POS) display, to help drive more business.
